Straw Poll
Should I take things easier? Numerous people have
a)asked me what I do in my spare time and
b)told me that I should enjoy life as a student.
To the question in a), I have unfortunately been unable to supply any sort of satisfactory answer, since I obviously have no social life, can't talk about anything but work, and spend my nights off watching movies or playing games. The best I've come up with is "uh, I'm doing TBP stuff," but that isn't the main thing I do either... As to comment b), well, things are kind of easy right now, despite the number of things I'm juggling. I blame this on my lack of social life as above, so I really have nothing else to occupy my time. As for getting a social life: can't find a single gamer here. And not many people I can really click with. I don't relate at all in a group situation (my gaming group doesn't count here), but I can be comfortable and happy one-on-one. Sadly, most social activities require a group, which leaves me pretty much at loose ends.
I think I really want to go home this Summer, and see LN again. Maybe one particular b-school cert isn't worth all this trouble. In the end, after all, I don't really need the the fame nor the fortune, just friends and family around me.

*lol* Well honey, did you ever have anything that other people called "a social life"? What have you always done for fun? Blow up stuff/kill things on the computer, read good books and comics, spend quality time with friends. And you're still doing enough of that that you've not fallen to pieces from stress yet (unless aliens have taken over your brain). So I'm not seeing a problem.
*Wry grin* Thanks. Lesson #1 again: you don't have to live by other people's standards, just your own.
And no, aliens have not taken over my brain. My XCOM mania last year pretty much exterminated the lot of them.
hmm unfortunately i once did have a social life. AAARGH it's all the stupid work's fault. *sigh*
I think I still have a social life. Um, yeah. Meagre but existent.
On a side note: there are Cheesecake Factory outlets in Tokyo! Arrrk!
