Actually, the article sounds more like it was written by an ACSian than a Rafflesian *grin*
But seriously, it's obviously the work of a copywriter who doesn't know the inside story of what being a Rafflesian is like, and just plain aiming at the level of society he/she thinks most Rafflesians would be at (read, marketing strategy).
Because a member of a high class, prestigious clique so has to sell it to another member.
