And not in the alcoholic sense. Firstly: the weekend was possibly a little boring. Too distracted by S*P to do the work I wanted to do, but it was all pretty optional anyway, so who cares, right? Damned registrar's office realised that I was over my petitioned unit count, so I have to resubmit the petition. Moreover, since I fully intend to add over what I'm doing now, that's another thing I have to contend with. Registrar will not accept more than 4 units of independent study per semester, no matter how much work I actually do, so that really sucks. ( 2 research projects and a reading class certainly add up to more than 4 units worth of work, effort and credit. I don't want to drop any of them at this point, since I'm happy with my work on all three fronts.)

Have been asked to consider a math minor - maybe to that. Who knows.

The really fustrating stuff is work - I have no respect for the OR department. Last year we had a final that started an hour and a half after the official start time, and the exam problems couldn't be solved either (since they were typoed and misprinted) Today, we just had a homework assignment where the we were never taught how to do the problem, and another where the assignment was a re-used exam. And this exam was typoed and impossible to solve too. I went to office hours to resolve the latter problem. Prof had me wait 20 mins while he chatted on the phone, told me that there must be something wrong with the way I was looking at it and shooed me off. Finally I come back half an hour later after banging my head against the problem and he admits the problem is flawed...
