Whoa
I finally finished re-reading Crytonomicon. It is such a good book that I couldn't stop compulsively reading chapter after chapter, even though I had work to do... Re-reading it now reminds me of all the places Stephenson stuck in references to the Baroque Cycle, which was being written at the same time.
Now that I have my mind to myself again, I've started considering the work needed for my two midterms this week... and concluded that at least one of them is a load of crock. Well, I knew it was a load of crock to begin with, but skimming last year's exam convinces me that anyone with half a brain and who is reasonably careful will nail a 100 on the midterm. (of course, more than half the class has ceased to attend lectures because it is so boring. Maybe they'll pull the curve down, but I don't think that's likely) No doubt this will end up a straight-scale class, which means that I have to somehow maintain a 95+ average. Bloody tedious, but at least I don't need to spend much time actually thinking about the subject. I'll write up my cheatsheet tonight and rest well in the knowledge that I won't need to study more than that.
In other "whoa" news, I watched the Constantine trailer. Keanu Reeves is crap. OMFG. He's so wrong for the character, they might as well have cast the Governator in that role... I won't link the trailer, because I think people should stay away from the movie if they value their sanity. I will of course watch the movie when it comes out - veteran gamer that I am, I have immunised myself to this horror by watching the DnD movie, and all the Star Wars prequels to date.

Nice new format love! I like it allot.
All I can say on the University thing is to believe in yourself and your abilities. We all got burnt out somewhere in our degrees, the important thing is to realise that it's not the end of the world. One of my suggestions would be to take a semester of pathetically easy subjects, but allot of them, in order to still meet your quota of credits, but still take it easy.
I do think though that the LAST thing you want to do is stop and rest. Because when you stop working all you do is lose your momentum and gain intertia. (see: I DO listen to your physics lectures!).
Whatever you decide is good with me, I trust your judgement.
ALSO (damn, this is a long reply!) HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!!!!!!!
