Neighbourly Disputes

Have stumbled into long standing fight between my landlady and the guy next door. Don't want to get involved. Basically, I just talked to him to apologise for the noise when I moved in (he was bitchin') and then he spieled on and on about how he's old and wants a nice, comfortable life, etc, etc. And therefore no noise, and some privacy please. Which is fine with me, except that he has pretty unreasonable (IMHO) demands. Like V down the hall, whose window opens onto his house, he doesn't like it when she opens her window and paints. Thinks it messes with his privacy. And the baby upstairs, which he complained about. I mean, it's not like people want their baby to cry right? And it's not like they can do much about it... So I guess I'll just do my part and not be too bad a neighbour. And ignore the rest of the stuff he's spewing. *sigh*
